Jackie Chan on Legend of Drunken Master

Ain’t It Cool News has posted an article/interview about the domestic release of Jackie Chan’s Legend of the Drunken Master (Drunken Master 2). The article states that the impact of Legend of the Drunken Master is definitely a lessened from the original, uncut, undubbed Chinese version, especially Anita Mui’s depiction of Jackie’s step-mother, but Legend of Drunken Master is, none-the-less, definitely worth seeing in a theatre. Jackie’s future plans, including Shanghai Night (the sequel to Shanghai Noon) and Rush Hour 2 are also discussed. [Editor’s note: we are in full agreement. The original music score of Drunken Master 2 has been replaced in Legend of Drunken Master, some of the dubbed translation is far different than the original Chinese version, and the final scene from the original film has been removed entirely in the American version, but even with all of the changes and edits, there is still, arguably, no better martial-arts movie in existance.]
