Interstella5555 Update

Anime News Network has learned that contrary to news reported yesterday, the Leiji Matsumoto/Daft Punk anime movie Interstella5555 will not be screened at the 56th Annual Cannes Film Festival, per se. The short film will screen at 35th Annual Quinzaine des Realisateurs (Director’s Fortnight) Film Festival, which is an independent film festival held simultaneously with the Cannes Film Festival.
