Excel Saga Spin-Off Information

The fan favorite, hyperactive, off-the-wall comedy TV series Excel Saga, which recently ended on Japanese television, will premier its spin-off OAV series on the 7th. Puni Puni Poemi is a 2 episode spoof of magical girl shows staring Watanabe Poemi, the 10 year old girl that had a brief appearance in the Excel Saga television series. The cast of the OAV series includes Kobayashi Yumiko (Kobayashi Excel of Excel Saga, Sarah Macdogal in Love Hina), Imai Yuka (Wakaba of Utena, Otaru of Saber Marionette), Hisakawa Aya (Skuld of Ah My Goddess, Sailor Mercury of Sailor Moon), Kawakami Tomoko (Utena of Utena), Mitsuishi Kotono (Excel in Excel Saga, Misato of Evangelion). The Japanese homepage for Puni Puni Poemi features character designs and a short trailer for the first OAV.
