Ultraman Director Dies

69 year old director, producer, screenwriter and novelist Akio Jissoji passed away at the Tokyo Bunkyo Ward Hospital on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 11:45 pm from complications due to stomach cancer. Jissoji will be fondly remembered for directing and other contributions to classic Tsuburaya productions including Ultraman, Ultra Q, Ultra Seven, and Operation: Mystery.
