SNK Requests Government Help in Reducing Company’s Debt

Aruze, the current parent company of video game studio SNK, has requested special tax exemption from the city of Osaka in order to rebuild the heavily indebted video game company. After essentially shutting down SNK, cutting unnecessary costs and departments and laying off employees, Aruze has determined that SNK’s debt is still too prohibitive to allow the company to restructure and return to normal operations.
