Teknoman on DVD?

Actually, it’s not Teknoman, the American dub, but the original Japanese Tekkaman Blade television series that’s being released on Japanese DVD in a very special edition boxed set on February 7th. The 11 disc Tekkaman Blade DVD set will contain episodes 1-48 on DVDs 1-8. Disc 9 will contain the final television episode and the bonus material from the the 1998 laserdisc boxed set. Discs 10 & 11 will include the 6 episode Tekkaman Blade II OAV series. The set will retail in Japan for 62790 yen, roughly $600 US. Many anime fans may recall that Saban dubbed and premiered 26 episodes of Tekkaman Blade on American television in 1995 under the title Teknoman. Urban Vision has released the Tekkaman Blade II OAV series in the US on subtitled and dubbed VHS.
