Shonen Bat Returns

Anime News Network reports that Geneon has officially confirmed plans to retain the original Japanese name “Shonen Bat” in the subtitle track of the forthcoming Paranoia Agent DVD release. Geneon’s initial marketing translated the name “Shonen Bat” to “Lil’ Slugger,” which caused a small controversy in the fan community over the impression that “Lil’ Slugger” was not a translation which retained the meaning and integrity of the original Japanese name.
