Shikeidai no 72-Jikan Drama Special Announced

Chiaki Kuriyama (Battle Royale, Kill Bill) will star in a two-part live-action TV special based on Chie Shinohara’s 1996 mystery manga story Shikeidai no 72-Jikan (“The Gallows’ 72 Hours”). The story revolves around five people trapped together and told that if the murderer among them doesn’t confess within 72 hours, all five people will die. The first episode of the two-part special will air on the NHK BS Premium channel on November 26. The concluding episode will air on December 3.
