Production I.G. Interview

Anime News Network has put together a great interview with Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, President and CEO of Production I.G., the studio responsible for Patlabor, Ghost in the Shell, Jin-Roh, and Blood: The Last Vampire. The interview focuses on the Fantasia film festival premiere of Blood. Blood is the first “full digital” feature-length anime and is directed by Hiroyuki Kitakubo (Roujin Z, Black Magic M-66). Mamoru Oshii, director of Ghost in the Shell and Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer, wrote the original story for Blood. Kenji Kamiyama, previously the animation director of Jin-Roh, made his debut as a script writer with Blood.
