Pioneer News from Anime Expo

Pioneer announced several new licenses at this past weekend’s Anime Expo in addition to the Sugar and Mahoromatic licenses revealed last week:

Lupin the 3rd first series- the original 23 TV episodes from 1971, featuring episodes directed by Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata.

Ai Yori Aoshi– a romantic comedy currently airing on Japanese television.

Master Keaton- a 24 episode TV series from 1998 from the creator of Yawara about a former SAS soldier turned insurance investigator

Chobits– the popular current late night adaptation of CLAMP manga

Patlabor movie 3 and the Sakura Taisen movie

Gatekeepers 21- Gonzo Studios currently in production OAV series sequel to the Gatekeepers TV series

Fushigi Yuugi Gaiden- the recent third Fushigi Yuugi OAV series
