Nintendo & Sega to Co-Produce an RPG

Although no detail whatsoever was provided, a GameWeek interview with Charles Bellfield, vice president of marketing and corporate communications for Sega of America, provided confirmation that Sega is working on a console RPG in association with Nintendo.

The interview also confirmed that a sequel to Phantasy Star Online is already in production. Bellfield said, “It will be a new game. We are definitely planning to keep the Phantasy Star Online franchise continuing, absolutely. For the record, we sold 75,000 copies of PSO on the first day.”
