New Amnesia Trailer Released

The homepage for next month’s Amnesia anime television series has added its first trailer to reveal footage from the upcoming show. The adaptation of the dating simulation game from developer Otomate revolves around a girl who wakes up with no memories and immediately finds herself the object of affection of multiple jealously possessive handsome young men. Brains Base is animating the show with Yoshimitsu Ohashi (Galaxy Angel, Sacred Seven) directing.

No offense intended to anyone especially eager for this show, but I have to wonder to myself, “Is this a joke?” A fairy, multiple guys with glittery eyes & ridiculously stylish clothes, ominous supernatural portents: none of this feels even remotely believeable in the same universe to me.
