New Princess Mononoke DVD Details

According to new information on-line, the DVD release of Princess Mononoke will feature English, French and the original Japanese audio dialogue tracks and English subtitles. The English and Japanese tracks will both be encoded in Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, and the French track will be in Dolby Digital 2.0. There is no indication yet, though, whether the English subtitles will be a “dubtitle,” script, closed captions or a literal translation of the Japan dialogue. On the video side, it will feature a widescreen anamorphic presentation.
