New DVDs Announced

On November 28th, Manga will release the Macross II OVA series on one disc for $29.95. The long awaited domestic Wings of Honneamise DVD is also scheduled for November 28th. Unconfirmed preliminary reports indicate that the disc will feature an anamorphic transfer, deleted scenes, an audio commentary, a photo gallery, theatrical trailer and a newly remastered 5.1 digital audio English language track.

Buena Vista has confirmed the DVD release of Princess Mononoke for December 19th, with a retail price of $32.99, an anamorphic transfer and 5.1 stereo surround sound, Japanese and French language tracks, the theatrical trailer, and a behind the scenes featurette. It seems as though we’ll have to wait until the disc is released, though, to discover whether the rumored English subtitles will be a literal translation of the original Japanese dialogue or a transcription of the English dub.

AD Vision will be releasing the third volumes of Bubblegum Crisis 2040 and Martian Successor Nadesico on January 23rd. Media Blasters has announced two new titles for January, both due on the 30th. The Earthian Angelic Collection retail for $29.95, and the Ninku/Yu Yu Hakusho movie double feature will retail for $19.95.
