Manga Wins Eisner Awards

The Eisner awards are the Oscars of the comic industry. The winners of this year’s Eisner Awards were announced at the San Diego Comic Con. Blade of the Immortal, by Hiroaki Samura (Dark Horse) won for best U.S. edition of foreign material. The Sandman: The Dream Hunters by Neil Gaiman and Yoshitaka Amano (Vertigo/DC) won for best comics-related book.
