Manga Titles Nominated for Prestigious American Awards

Yoshihiro Tatsumi’s manga anthology Abandon the Old in Tokyo and Osamu Tezuka’s manga serial Ode to Kirihito have both been nominated for a 2007 Harvey Award in the “Best American Edition of Foreign Material” category. The Harvey Awards are a peer selected comic book industry award.

Tezuka’s Ode to Kirihito has also been nominated for a 2007 Quill Award in the “graphic novel” category. The winner will be selected by a group of 6,000 librarians and booksellers and announced on September 10th.
