Mamoru Oshii Announces New Work

Canadian entertainment company Nakamura Group Advantage has announced that Mamoru Oshii (Avalon, Assault Girls) will direct his sci-fi military thriller concept The Last Druid: Garm Wars as a feature-length English language film. Oshii developed the story idea in 1995 but hasn’t considered visual effects technology adequate to create the film until now. Geoffrey Gunn will script the film’s English language script. While much of Oshii’s 2009 film Assault Girls had spoken English dialogue, Garm Wars will be the director’s first entirely English language film.
