iaTV Partners With TOKYOPOP

ImaginAsian Entertainment has announced a partnership with TOKYOPOP that will see ImaginAsian handling advertising for TOKYOPOP and the iaTV cable network broadcasting TOKYOPOP video content.

The iaTV advertising staff will manage advertising sales for TOKYOPOP’s digital content, mobile advertising, promotion of TOKYOPOP’s video content, and more.

The iaTV network has also obtained broadcast rights to the Initial D anime television series, the Psychic Academy anime series, the Spring and Chaos anime OVA, TOKYOPOP’s FMW Wrestling video content, and five of TOKYOPOP’s original “iManga” video series adapted from its original comic properties.

Initial D will be televised subtitled on weekdays beginning September 1, at 5:30 & 11:00 p.m. PT.

Psychic Academy will premier at 10:30 p.m. PT on September 9.

This deal to have ImaginAsian Entertainment handle TOKYOPOP’s digital advertising seems unusual since TOKYOPOP just launched the Tokyopop Media LLC division in June to handle its digital media.
