Gonzo to Animate Blade & Soul

Fresh off animating the feature film adaptation of the Sega video game Bayonetta, the Gonzo anime studio is now developing an anime TV series based on the upcoming South Korean MMORPG Blade & Soul. Texhnolyze & Steins;Gate director Hiroshi Hamasaki and Mouretsu Uchuu Kaizoku animation director Hiroshi Takeuchi will co-direct the television series. Zettai Boei Leviatan & Psycho-Pass supplemental character designer Eri Nagata will provide the series’ character designs based on original game character designs by Hyung-Tae Kim. The Blade & Soul TV series will premiere this April.
