Gamera 4 Announced

In a surprise move, Daiei Pictures has announced that Gamera 4: The Truth will not be a continuation of Gamera 3: Incomplete Struggle. Instead, Gamera 4 will be a low budget ($2500) short film (45 minutes) directed by Japanese traditional comedian Shinpei Hayashiya, who also created the film’s monster effects. The film will initially be screened at Japanese film festivals later this summer.
