The live action Dead or Alive movie from Mindfire Millennium Productions, the studio behind the upcoming American House of the Dead movie, has now been delayed until 2003 or 2004. The movie, originally announced for a tentative late 2001 release, was initially delayed until a tentative production start date in 2002. Now, according to Yahoo Movies, the film is not scheduled to go into production until sometime in 2003.

In a related note, the Hollywood Reporter has revealed that French video game publisher Infogrames has sold theatrical film rights for “Alone in the Dark,” its horror-adventure video game franchise, to Dritte/Vierte Boll Kino Beteiligungs-GmbH & Co. KG (Boll Kino). The film will be produced and directed by Uwe Boll, the director behind Mindfire Entertainment’s House of the Dead movie, based on the Sega video game franchise.
