Gameboy Advance Video Player in the Works

The Toshiba subsidiary company am3 has revealed a prototype video player for the Gameboy Advance and Gameboy Advance SP. The am3 adapter plugs into the Gameboy then plays memory cards that can hold 24 minutes of high quality video or 5 hours of compressed audio. The adapter will tentatively cost 2800 yen in Japan, and cards pre-loaded with movie clips, trailers, or an entire anime episode, will retail for 2000 to 2300 yen. The am3 adapter will tentatively be available in Japan by the end of May.
