Full Fairy Tail Movie Trailer Released

Japanese film distributor Shochiku has released the full theatrical trailer for next month’s Fairy Tail: Houou no Miku (Fairy Tail: Maiden of the Phoenix) motion picture. Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima personally provided the movie’s story, visual design, and guest character design. Masaya Fujimori (You Are Umasou) directs. The movie will hit Japanese theaters on August 18.

Sure looks like it adheres to the conventional Fairy Tail narrative formula of Natsu & co. get defeated before taking the fight seriously and finally winning [after arbitrarily developing brand new powers that will never be used again]. Not that that’s a complaint, just an observation.
