Early Tezuka Manga Discovered

Tezuka Productions has acquired a previously unpublished 19-page manga story created by the late “god of manga” Osamu Tezuka during his late teens. Tezuka created the manga revolving around post-war social problems and gave the finished work to a classmate who kept the manga for over sixty years. Tezuka Productions acquired the work from a Tokyo used bookstore for a sum of 3 million yen (about $37,000 USD). Tezuka Productions was previously unaware of the existance of the manga story and has declared it a piece of major historical significance.
