Eagle Manga Makes News

The Monday, October 23 issue of the Los Angeles Times includes a feature article about Eagle: The Making Of An Asian-American President within it’s “California Living” section. Eagle is a manga story currently translated and published by Viz that details the struggle of a Japanese-American to become president of the United States.

This is not the first time the Los Angeles Times has commented on manga work by Kaiji Kawaguchi. In 1990, the L.A. Times ran a piece giving critical acclaim to Kawaguchi’s military thriller manga “Silent Service,” calling him “the Tom Clancy of Japan.”
