Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Prequel Confirmed

After many discussions, Ang Lee has formally agreed to make a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon prequel with producer Hsu Li-Kong. CTHD was based on the fourth part of the Crane: Iron Pentalogy. Which of the preceding four stories should be adapted to film is the focus of their current discussion. Ang Lee has authorized Hsu Li-Kong to make the decision, then they will do the casting together. Ang Lee has stated that as long as the story was good, the ages of the characters would be irrelevant. How this affects whether Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeoh will appear in the film is unknown.
