Calimero Revival TV Series Announced

An unspecified Japanese production studio, in collaboration with animation studios in Italy & France, is producing the first Calimero anime TV series in 21 years. Toei first animated the adventures of Ignazio Colnaghi and the Pagot brothers’ Italian comic character in a 47-episode 1974 television series. Toei then produced a 52-episode remake TV series that aired from October 1992 to September 1993. The new anime series will be animated with CG. The show’s 15-minute episodes will premiere on the TV Tokyo network on October 7.
