Blade Anime?

With the popularity of the first comic based Blade movie and a sequel in the works for 2001, a Marvel Comics representative has said that there may be an animated Blade series in the works. Avi Arad told Comics Continuum, “We are talking about Blade more anime, than an animated series, more of an adult version, more like Spawn did on late night.” The tone of this statement seems to imply that a possible Blade cartoon may not actually be created by a Japanese studio, but may simply be an American cartoon with characteristics similar to anime.
