Manga Artist Susumu Katsumata Passes Away

Manga artist Susumu Katsumata died of melanoma in a Tokyo-area hospital on December 3. He was 63 years old. Katsumata made his professional manga publication debut in 1966, and won the Grand Prize of the 35th Japanese Cartoonists’ Association Awards last year for his manga collection “Red Snow.”
