Ask John: Does AN Entertainment Have Jungle Guu?

Question:
I had heard that you guys were going to be the distributors for Jungle wa Itsumo Hare Nochi Guu in the U.S. and I was just wondering if this was true or not. And if so, when is the expected release date for the first volume?

Answer:
The staff of AN Entertainment is very familiar with the Hare Nochi Guu anime. In fact, we all love the show! And considering the outstanding quality of the Jungle Guu anime, and its popularity in both Japan and America, we do anticipate seeing the series officially released on American DVD in the future. However, at the present time, we can confirm that the Hare Nochi Guu TV series has not been licensed for official American release.

At the recent Anime Central convention, AN Entertainment revealed tentative plans to officially announce the acquisition of a new anime title at the Anime Expo convention this July. I’m sorry to say that right now I can’t reveal whether or not that announcement will be Hare Nochi Guu or some other anime series. You’ll just have to wait and see.
