AnimEigo’s promised big news was that they have acquired the rights to the You’re Under Arrest TV series. It will be both subbed and dubbed on DVD only with the original American voice actors and actresses from the OAV series. Production will start in February 2001, immediately after Macross. They stated it will probably take about a year to release the entire 52 episodes. Tokyo Broadcasting System has retained the television broadcast rights to the series with the intention of airing AnimEigo’s dub on US television themselves. The Bubble Gum Crisis OAV series is going on Encore next month.

AnimEigo stated that they do have their eye on fan favorite shows Kodomo no Omocha and Hana Yori Dango. The new, re-mastered 4 disc DVD set for Bubblegum Crisis will include all the music videos, lyrics, reportedly over 1000 pieces of never before seen anywhere artwork, and much, much more. An upgrade is anticipated to cost approximately $20 if you trade in the original 3 DVD BGC set. Otaku No Video on DVD is a very high priority.
