Anime Industry Representatives Lecture In Texas

Sayoko Kinoshita, Vice President of the Animation Film Association in Japan, and Yasuhiro Imagawa, director of several Gundam Series and Giant Robo, will both be speaking at two lectures. The first lecture will take place in Austin, Texas from 7-9pm on September 15th at the Thompson Conference Center, room 3.102. The second will be in Houston, Texas from 7-9pm on September 16th at Rice University Herring Hall 124. The events are being sponsored by the Japanese consulate and local anime clubs. The success of these events could lead to larger names being brought to speak, one possible name mentioned is that of Hayao Miyazaki, the director of The Princess Mononoke, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Nausicaa Of The Valley Of the Wind.
