20th Anniversary Sailor Moon to Premiere in July

Toei has formally announced that its revival Sailor Moon anime series will premire online globally on the NicoNico website in July. Suite Precure director Munehisa Sakai will direct the series from scripts by Smile Precure writer Yuji Kobayashi. Pretty Cure franchise producer Atsutoshi Umezawa has confirmed that the new Sailor Moon will be a fresh reboot of Naoko Takeuchi’s original manga, not a remake of the 1992 anime.
