Yowamushi Pedal Anime Announced

The current issue of Weekly Shounen Champion magazine includes a formal announcement that Wataru Watanabe’s bicycle racing manga Yowamushi Pedal will be getting an anime TV series adaptation next year. The manga revolves around an otaku that gets so much experience and training riding his bicycle to and from Tokyo’s Akihabara district, the mecca for anime & game otaku, that he gets involved in competitive bicycle racing. The ongoing manga premiered in 2008.
