Yen Press Acquires Haruhi Suzumiya Manga

Yen Press has announced its acquisition of North American distribution rights to the first four volumes of Gaku Tsugano’s manga adaptation of Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya light novels by writer Nagaru Tanigawa and illustrator Noizi Ito. The manga series will debut in English this October, with new volumes following every four months. The series will be released domestically unaltered, including its original color insert illustrations, with an “older teen” recommended reader advisory.

While the fifth manga volume was released in Japan last October, Yen Press has, so far, secured distribution rights to only the first four volumes.
