Yamato 2199 Won’t Air on TV Until at Least 2013

Reportedly director Yutaka Izubuchi’s Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 anime series, a remake of the 1974 anime TV series, will not air on Japanese TV until at least 2013. The 26 episode series will be compiled into seven limited-release feature films with the first premiering on April 7. Screenings of each movie will also sell the respective movie on DVD/BD before the nationwide home video release premiere on May 25.
