Wonder Momo Revival Planned

Bandai Namco Games has revealed plans to revive its 1987 side-scrolling beat-um-up game Wonder Momo as a series of 5 five-minute web anime shorts and a new game. Yutaka Kagawa (Hajime Ningen Gon, Nightwalker) will direct the anime shorts at studio Graphinica. The anime will premiere next month. Episodes will stream in Japan on NicoNico and will stream with English subtitles on Crunchyroll. California-based developer WayForward Technologies is currently developing a new retro-style Wonder Momo game for global PC and Android release this spring.
