Viz Announcements from Comic Con

At this past weekend’s San Diego Comic Con, Viz announced its Shonen Jump Home Video line. The line will debut with the December 28th release of Hikaru no Go DVD volume 1. Hikaru no Go DVDs will contain 4 bilingual episodes and will be released quarterly.

The second Shonen Jump Home Video title will be Naruto. Edited Naruto DVDs will be released bi-monthly beginning in March 2006. Uncut 13 episode boxed sets will be released beginning in July 2006.

Viz also announced the acquisition of translation rights to four manga series:

Black Cat, by Yabuki Kentarou
Claymore, by Yagi Norihiro
D. Gray-man, by Hoshino Katsura
Boboboboubo Boubobo, by Sawai Yoshio
