Viz Announcements from Anime Expo

At last weekend’s Anime Expo convention, Viz announced its acquisiton of translation rights to the Yami no Matsuei (Descendant of Darkness) manga series.

Copies of the Inuyasha movie 1 DVD sold at Borders and Waldenbooks stores will includes a bonus lenticular cover.

The Inuyasha season 1 DVD boxed set will contain episodes 1-27 and retail at $100 for the standard edition or $120 for the deluxe edition which includes a necklace and is limited to only 15,000 copies.

The Megaman NT Warrior American DVDs will be edited.

The Flame of Recca TV series will debut on domestic DVD on October 26th. The series DVDs will contain 4 episodes each and retail at $24.98 each. Song lyrics on the Flame of Recca DVDs will not be translated.

New episodes of Maison Ikkoku will be dubbed for future DVD releases.
