Viz Acquires Deko Boko Friends

Viz has announced its acquisition of North American translation and distribution rights to the Deko Boko Friends anime series. The series consists of 30 second animated shorts targeted at pre-school age children. The Nick Jr. television network will broadcast 60 of the short episodes. Viz has sublicensed toy manufacturing rights to Spin Master Ltd., and sublicensed book publishing rights to Simon & Schuster division Simon Spotlight.
