Atlus, creator of the Megami Tensai video game series that includes the Persona games, and creators of the Dreamcast game Maken X are at work on their second title for the Dreamcast. “The new title, Despiria, is a role-playing game that makes use of the mind — players will read minds using a technique called Mind Dive and attack the enemy’s heart in Mind Battles.” A Japanese release is expected late this year.

Konami is at work on two new Suikoden games. Suikoden III for the Sony PlayStation 2 is in the early development stages. The Suikoden side-story, Suikogaiden Volume 1: Swordsman of Harmonia, will be released on the Playstation this fall.

Although a playable version of Resident Evil Zero for the N64 was available at last month’s E3 convention, reports and rumors from Capcom of Japan hint that the game will not be released to the N64 after all, and will be instead released on Nintendo’s new Dolphin system.

With the surprising popularity of Koei’s Playstation 2 Japanese historical war simulation game Kessen, Koei has already announced plans to release Kessen 2 by March 31, 2001 and Kessen 3 by March 31, 2002.
