US Spirited Away Receipts Top Mononoke

In its fourth week of American theatrical release Spirited Away earned $634,901, falling from 15th to 19th place in current nationwide theatrical gross standings. However, the film has now outgrossed the American box office receipts Princess Mononoke earned in 1999.

Pokemon 4Ever opened this past weekend with a gross of over $717,000, making it the most successful theatrical anime opening weekend in America since Pokemon movie 3 opened in American theaters in April 2001.
