Urban Vision Licenses Strange Dawn

According to Anime News Network, Urban Vision has licensed the English language translation and distribution rights to the 13 episode fantasy adventure TV series Strange Dawn (2000, Pioneer Japan). Given that Urban Vision has tailored its previous releases to mature oriented (mostly Madhouse Studios) productions, the full digital “shoujo-esque” Strange Dawn is somewhat of a departure from their typical cannon offerings. Urban Vision is apparently considering distributing Strange Dawn as the premier title in a new line of “kids'” anime, although Strange Dawn is no more tailored to child audiences than titles like Princess Nine, Rayearth, and Slayers.

EX Magazine has published a extensive synopsis and review of the first episode, complete with screenshots.
