Update on TOKYOPOP Releases

In a follow up to yesterday’s news about changes to the DVD episode distribution and translation of St. Tail, it has now become clear that as of volume 5, St. Tail will be a DVD exclusive release.

TOKYOPOP has scheduled a blitz of GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka). The first of 10 DVD only volumes of GTO anime will premier on March 19th and contain 5 TV episodes for $29.99. The first volume of translated manga, published in authentic Japanese style right to left page format, will retail for $9.99 and debut on April 23rd. The official domestic TV animation soundtrack CD featuring music by superstar J-pop group L’arc~en Ciel, will retail at $14.99 and premier simultaneously with the third TV series DVD on July 23rd.
