Update on Squaresoft’s Financial Status

Squaresoft initially announced an anticipated 10 billion yen ($82 million US) loss associated with the Final Fantasy movie but have now revised that figure down to 3.6 billion yen ($30 million US), offset by strong Japanese sales of Playstation 2 software, particularly Final Fantasy X, which has shipped 2.5 million copies so far.
