Upcoming English Language Japanese Anime DVDs

Studio Ghibli has revealed that the Japanese DVD version of Majo no Takkyuubin/Kiki’s Delivery Service will include the original Japanese dialogue and an English dub audio track, both in Dolby 2.0, and optional English subtitles. Special features will include storyboards, a 30 minute “making of” documentary and a 4:45 trailer for Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi. The Region 2 territory encoded disc will retail for 4700 yen and go on sale on June 8th.

Pioneer will be re-releasing the DVD version of the 1998 13 episode mystery/drama St. Luminous Mission High School (Sei Luminus Jogakuin) TV series as a DVD boxed set on April 3rd. The new version will be the extended home-video cut of the series and will include an optional English dubbed audio track. The 6 disc set will retail for a very reasonable 18,900 yen (roughly $154 US).
