Umimachi Diary Movie Announced

Shogakukan has announced that Akimi Yoshida’s award-winning shoujo manga Umimachi Diary (Seaside Town Diary) will receive a feature film adaptation. The announcement does not specify whether the film will be live-action or animated. The manga spin-off from Yoshida’s 1995 Lovers’ Kiss manga premiered in 2006. The manga revolves around a half-sister meeting her two other sisters for the first time at her father’s funeral.
