Toonami Pages Adds Outlaw Star

The Cartoon Network has officially announced the premier of Outlaw Star on Toonami by focusing on the show on the Toonami page. Outlaw Star will premier on Toonami on Monday, January 15 at 6 PM Eastern time, 5 PM Pacific time.

Sean Akins of the Cartoon Network has confirmed that 25 of the 26 total episodes will be broadcast on Toonami. Episode 23, “Hot Springs Planet Tenrei,” will not appear in the Cartoon Network broadcast. “This episode does nothing to further the story and is nothing more than an excuse to get the characters naked,” stated Mr. Akins, “It really isn’t appropriate for national television.” Otherwise, the series will contain some editing including some digital censoring to mask nudity and changes in the dub to remove swearing, but the Cartoon Network claims, regarding the editing of Outlaw Star, that “the bare minimum possible… [was done] in order to get this show on the air.”
