Takeshi Kaneshiro to Star in Onimusha Movie

French movie news site DVDrama has confirmed with director Christophe Gans that Japanese actor Takeshi Kaneshiro, who played the protagonist in the original first and third Onimusha video games, will reprise his role in the planned live action motion picture adaptation. The film is tentatively scheduled to begin filming next year for a 2009 release.
