Steel Angel Kurumi US Release Announced

AD Vision has confirmed for Anime on DVD that the first volume of Steel Angel Kurumi will premier on domestic home video on May 21st for $29.98. The DVD disc will include the first 6 of 24/28 episodes with translation notes to explain the Japanese historical and cultural references, interviews with the English language dub cast, non-credit opening, image gallery and more.

Kotetsu Tenshi Kurumi is a “maid robot” anime TV series in the vein of Bannou Bunka Neko Musume and Mahoromatic. The first TV series broadcast 24 episodes as part of the Anime Complex anthology program. An additional 4 epilogue episodes were released directly to home video. The first Steel Angel series was followed by the 3 episode OAV series Kotetsu Tenshi Kurumi Zero, the 12 episode second TV series Kotetsu Tenshi Kurumi 2 Shiki and the upcoming live-action TV series Kotetsu Tenshi Kurumi Pure.
